This weeks episode is with Gonzaga’s Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach Craig Fortier. In this episode we discuss the importance of resilience and how in the sport of basketball you need to put in the work in order to achieve the results you want.
Craig Joined the Gonzaga coaching staff on May 5th, 2014 and offers the program over a decade of coaching experience. He has spent time at other programs like Eastern Washington where he served as the Associate Head Coach of the men’s basketball team.
The episode starts out with an impactful story about Craig’s high school career that is the very definition of resilience in basketball.
Here is the list of questions that I asked Craig in our interview:
- That you can’t know what “enough” is until you’ve done too much
- How he became an all-league player without being a starter
- Why being resilient is one of the most important skills
- What he wants to pass on to his players
