In this week’s episode I am joined by Eric Schmitt who is the strength and conditioning coach from the Memphis grizzlies. Eric trains a multitude of highly athletic NBA players some of which, are former Zags. We go in depth on How Eric became a NBA strength coach and how it differs from coaching college kids. I also ask Eric the importance of plyometrics and how it can improve athleticism in basketball.

Here is a list of the questions we discussed:

  • How did you become a strength coach
  • How does coaching NBA players differ from college players
  • How do plyometrics affect athleticism and how can they be implemented
  • What age should kids start serious strength training
